brannie_bird's shower yesterday afternoon, and a family gathering in the evening for the cousins who've come into town (And their small children, the first small children in family gatherings for roughly 15 years...). Both fun, in spite of the cold which has blossomed in me (I hoped I didn't spread it to the small ones), and we managed to be in a canker-free yard for the latter (Probably because they back onto a golf course, who naturally would want to spray for the stupid $*#&@s). I got shot by a water pistol, which was good as it helpd cool me off from the heat, so I encouraged the boy by dangling him upside down. I would be an evil auntie.

Probable percentage actually new: 10%. Maybe 15%. This was strictly cleanup of old but acceptable work.
Reason for stopping: Scene end, sick, late at night.
Tea: Decaf black with milk and honey, and lots of it.
Music: I actually don't recall, and for once, I put the CDs away.
Mean Things: A death offstage. We think. Some language difficulties.
To-read pile: Diana Wynne Jones - The Game, Wrede & Stevermer - The Grand Tour.

Reason for stopping: Scene end, sick, late at night.
Tea: Black with blackcurrent, then hot milk with caramel Baileys and some decaf coffee in.
Music: Colin Linden - Big Mouth, Loreena McKennitt - Elemental, Oysterband - Trawler (First half)
Mean Things: leaving someone in desperate straits to dangle a while before relenting.
To-read pile: Diana Wynne Jones - The Game, one of many possible after that. (Finished Dorothy Dunnett this afternoon, *and* the re-read of the Pirate's mixed-Up Voyage. For a total contrast in moods. Started on The Grand Tour, but also still reading the other, more serious Mahy.)
