Hmm. A few posts ago I asked the newer readers to out themselves, and asked what led you all here. I realised later it might have sounded like I was asking for ego-stroking; that wasn't actually the intent. I did mean it more as "tell me about yourselves", but I thought that was implicit in the hello. And my reasons for asking why you linked are more along the lines of "What am I doing right?" than "Tell me I rule".

So, again. Hello. Tell me about yourselves?

Hee. I probably just knocked the Green Man Music editor unconscious with shock. I just turned in a review a year and a half overdue. Three to go... plus the new Jim Moray if no-one else does.

Apparantly I've taken leave of my senses; I decided it wasn't a stupid idea to offer myself for the Barony's Herald once our present Herald leaves for Afghanistan.

Not long ago, Colin finally dug out the hard drive from the dead laptop (which died a year and two months ago.) This means I do actually have my VP Titanic story's first draft on computer. Also, a ttruly weird plot summary for Raising the Storm (Gets the gist of the main character's story arc in two pages, but misses every other major character completely, and the one stupid thing I did; why did I think it was smart not to name anyone in it at all?) so I spent the weekend fidgeting with the wrong bits of writing. At least that, combined with the review, means I was writing.

Having an MP3 player with a lot of favourites loaded on has done one thing to my listening; I've been feeling guilty and playing the CDs I tend to neglect instead. A good way to recall some lost treasures and some stronger things on weak albums.

Hello back. Well, if you don't remember, that's at least reassuring that I wrote more than one good thing. ;) (Tongue-in-cheek aside, there are times I really do doubt that.)

I should include the caveat more loudly than I do: I'm not exactly a heavily published writer, though I've absorbed a lot about the business in the process.
