Well, according to the doctor, it's not a migraine (Which i never thought it was), my blood pressure is normal, and the headache likely not much to worry about in spite of how long it's been going. She did suggest stress and tension were factors, though not the sole factors.

Technically Ketan isn't a Norse analogue (His ancestors were -- he's several generations past that), but I made a userpic I thought fit his fatalistic attitude a bit better. (The original photo is rather too low resolution, alas.) What I really would need is a good image with either ghosts or snakes or both, but what the hell.

I think I've made 40 userpics so far. Even with several of those being meant for the use of others, It really does seem like I should buy more room for them.

I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV, but...

Are the headaches worse in the morning or evening? If you wake up with headaches in the morning, it may be worth asking your dentist to fit you with a mouthgard. Chronic stress can result in night-time teeth grinding & jaw clenching, which can potentially cause headaches.

Chronic dehydration also springs to mind as a possible cause, but I know you generally have a fairly healthy tea intake level.

I also wonder if you may have a sinus infection of some sort that just hasn't cleared up yet? Those can manifest in headache form.

I appreciate the attempt to be helpful; I've had informed non-doctors put me on the right track before.

I was just at the dentist and neither he nor the technician noticed any grinding, and the advantage of having the same dentist for 21 years is that I know he has in the past. (Just as I know my doctor tends to be slow to prescribe or to send me off for other tests if there's a potential easier explanation to get out of the way first; in this case there may be.) But it's a good thought, if only because it wouldn't be the first time.

I've been trying very hard to keep a high liquid level in general as I've been doing more aerobic workouts and less walking. And some of the liquid really is water, and many of the teas tisanes; after a certain time of night, I try to talk myself out of additional caffeine.

Really, the blood pressure looked like the thing with the closest symptom match, but I'll wait to see how the thing the doctor suspected was the cause works out before I start worrying. In spite of my inability to do anything useful at archery on Monday, my mental faculties seem intact. I have a personal list of several symptoms which, if they kicked in above and beyond the low headache, would have me at Misericordia's urgent care (with a long book, this time) before you can say snap.
