Progress for yesterday.

So naturally, I no sooner get started than fall off the wagon. But, thanks to sleeping in a bit, and not being roused by Colin's alarm before my last hour of sleep, I'm awake and alert and wanna go write.
Progress notes for August 1, 2006:
Raising the Storm
New Words: Zero. I started reading Mélusine, kept telling myself I should get to the computer, and kept reading until bedtime.
Reason for stopping: Didn't start.
Can't stop fidgeting: I *did* figure out just what the Golden Man did that has him in prison, and torment, and nameless for life (you meet him in scene one, this isn't a spoiler). I knew it was something nasty, and I knew exactly which of the selkies' precepts it was based on (his title says it all), but it was like groping an unfamiliar object in the dark; the shape was tangible, but the details unclear. Now I know the details. Good 'cause he's essential to the climax & denouement.
Tea: Er, apple juice.
Inevitable asides: Today, if all has gone well, we get central air! Last night will be the last candle-drooping day.
