Jan. 9th, 2008 10:32 pmOkay, great. I got onto the computer to spend a few minutes on e-mail, a half hour or so on LJ, then write that scene that's all itchy in my brain, so Finno can finally discover in intimate detail that mass difference makes shapechaning *back* a lot harder than shapechanging *to*.
Instead, I spent three hours poking about the Shadow Unit stuff.
I've been almost absent on Making Light and reading LJ more sporadically (Never mind posting more sporadically) specifically because, realistically, if I'm to get any writing done ever, I really need to do more write and less Internets. espeically with time eaten by classes.
Then Emma Bull, Will Shetterly, Elizabeth Bear, and Sarah Monette go and do THAT. Complete with hidden cookies, forums with people picking apart clues I'm sure they totally misread, clues I totally missed myself, and clues I think they pegged dead-on, and livejournals for fictional people (One of which is probably of deep interest for people who like cooking regardless of their interest or lack of interest in the background.) I cannot wait to read any of the fiction until February. I can't. Not fair. Waaaah.
Aka, SQUEEEE.
(A good summary is Here, though the title page of Shadow Unit itself probably does well enough.
