It's no year to be a preacher

Our Minister and her wife were in a car accident on the first day of their vacation -- less than a hour's drive from the city, and almost head on. They're both alive, but Loraine is going to be unable to walk for a good looong while, and Nancy will be flat on her back for 3-4 weeks before they decide if she's going to heal alone or needs surgery of her own. It's sounding like even at that point, it will be another 2 months before they're out of the hospital.

I've said before this seems an unusually high year in my circle of acquaintance for weddings, births and deaths. This just seems to fit.
