Progress notes for August 24, 2006:
Raising the Storm
New Words: 340 words. (Just enough not to feel guilty.)
Reason for stopping: Midnight. Sleep!
Tea: Not even apple juice.
Music: Jim Moray, Sweet England, Oh Susanna, Johnstown
Mean Things: New barriers between previously good friends.
Can't stop fidgeting: Cleaned up some of the bit just before this, mostly to get in the mood.
Inevitable Asides: Good archery session tonight - not that my aim is much better, but there were lots of us, and that makes all events feel better. And Ceddwyn did observe one thing about my technique I already knew, but it helps to be reminded by an outside source.
I also did somethign I'd been considering for a while: I sold my old bow for $55.00 to a good home. I'd meant to put it on the online group announcements, but there was a woman there who's fairly new but improving and likely to stay with the sport, and she seemed a good match. It's cheap enough she can get the arrows too for what she'd normally pay for a like-new used bow or the cheapest of new bows. This is one I haven't used regularly in over 3 years, but pulled out to play or check a handful of times, and loaned out very slightly more often, and otherwise stored right, and we had it looked at by two knowledgeable people, just in case. (It's NOT the one I used just before the horsebow, which is warped.)
I also found out pretty much for sure that the government Student Loans think we have enough money for tuition and books. Meh. I don't think explaining that our finances are recovering from the wedding and some major renovation is adequate, since they seem to figure we must obviously have been squirreling away our cash, as University is the only thing that happens in peoples' lives.
Line of credit set-up time.
