Eggplant Productions is closing down. According to Roach (Raechel, the editor, and yes, she chose the nickname), most of the vendors will stop selling within 90 days. Then Kanna is once again homeless and alone. Not so good for a character whose driving force is her absolute conviction that she lacks things like family and home.
I know I've said before that it wasn't making a lot of money, but still, the story sold, which is more than most 25k stories do. And to an editor whose taste I tended to agree with more often than not, though she's always been small press.
Though I suppose this means it's good I never quite got Dagger and Key out the door to Roach.
