Writing stuff is progressing. Got part of a review written in rough, and two more chapters edited. The latter isn;t so impressive, as it was mostly prose polishing. The next scene will involve a complete point of view change, which means a complete rewrite.

The stair-climber is set up (The Tv and VCR are not). And I did push ups and the like as needed today.

And I saw Madagascar, which is almost entirely a dumb movie not worth spending the fees for a rental. Fortunately, the Cinema City is cheaper than a new release rental, and that's where we went. It was fun, and they had some nice bits of mockery of other movies - and some badly forced ones. But dumb. Definitely dumb. It needed more of the penguin plot.

Noticed as I was checking film times that Serenity, too, is already in the cheap theatre. That's distressingly fast. usually, they don't end up in Cinema City until they're on the shelf in the store. I've been kinda planning to see it asecond time in the theatre anyway. Good for me that it's less money, bad for them.

Oh, and:

Since I was bitching that I didn't find a copy of the full art on the author's page - I finally re-tracked down the artist's name (Okay, Tobias noted it in passing on his site in a recent post), and thus found the artist's page. The full wrap-cover to Crystal Rain looks like this: Crystal Rain

I admit, I liked Tobias S. Buckell when I met him at Torcon 3, and I like all his stories I've read so far, so I don't mind mentioning his forthcoming (January! Too late for Christmas, pout) book to people who might not have heard of him, but really, that piece of art is really nice on its own merits. Zeppelins! Parrots! Good looking pirate-like men with their shirts half-open!

If it ever becomes worth anyone's time to bribe me (highly unlikely), a print of that would be almost as nice as a Kinuko Craft print. (Neither is on my Christmas list, but that's mainly because I've been loathe to pick up new prints until I get some old prints, posters, and scrolls framed. So save it for bribes, since that way you have a bribe you're sure nobody's bought me yet!)
