When the person doing the harassment is a person you like.
Because This is saying something I've been trying to figure out for a while. Not about this person, I don't know him from ... well. But I can think of not one, but a few people where I have thoughts like this.
But yes. This. People who have done something good somewhere and something evil elsewhere are ... not uncommon.
And Binary thinking is all too common. As she says, the two sides don't actually balance out and erase one another like the columns in a ledger. The bad doesn't go away because something nice was done elsewhere (Maybe in rare occasions when the good thing was done specifically to fix the bad. But not in the everyday "But he helped me become less shy and more social." vs. "The way he treated that person was offensive and objectifying and outright creepy, and she's about a third his age.")
Notice especially her final conclusion. The last thing she says before Thanks.
