Jul. 3rd, 2012 08:13 pmyay for dental surgery. (Gum graft). My face is currently more numb than not, as I'm supposed to keep icing it today and tomorrow. My food restrictions aren't quite such that I started looking at Joseph's jars, but I do have to take some care. (No yogourt?!?!?)
Further food adventures:
- Home made pea puree goes over a bit better, but not too much.
- Avocado received with some ew after all, but not so strong he refuses to eat any. I just keep the doses small
- Carrot went meh, but we suspect mostly because it was left lumpier than anything he's had to date, not flavour wise. It's the thing most likely to come back out after a while.
- Chicken puree in broth is easily the most disgusting thing yet. I agree.
- Pear confused us. The first tasting seemed to be OMG this is yum, the second was clear dislike. Someone suggested it's only a breakfast food and he just didn't want it for dinner.
Otherwise: He's been taken out to the splash pad a few times, and seems to like it most of the time; he doesn't like getting water sprayed on him or splashed in his face, but he still likes the chances to stick his hands in it, or bounce in its vicinity. I've kept an eye on his temperature and taken him back out to play on me, in the sun, or under a towel as appropriate for his cool levels, and sometimes he tries to crawl right back for the water (I try not to let him crawl too far on the concrete as it just looks bad for his knees). But he can also be distracted by grass, or put off by too many other kids.
