Apr. 5th, 2011 01:41 amIn the good news / bad news front, both smallish:
The good news is, I found the missing bit of text, it's now sitting happily in its proper place in the story, and all is well on the writing front (I also made some damn good progress yesterday. To which: the biggest problem with the Dana for extended writing sessions is that one gets sore neck and shoulders like whoa if it's sitting on a table, since the screen is only just above the keyboard. Still, yay, writing. And maybe some incentive to figure out how to prop it up to chest height, which generally involves lounging on a couch.
The bad news: Colin did NOT successfully wipe out the computer virus masquerading as Virus protection other than my actual program. Stupid thing reappeared the next evening. Based on which web sites I was at when it kicked me off the internet the second time? Whatever site I was on at the moment it exploded had nothing to do with it (A small sigh of relief for me on my reading habits)
Soooo. Final result was that Colin backed up all the contents of my computer and put in a different version of Windows. Which, of course, took some time to set up. I still haven't set things back up as I want them, that will be tomorrow. And probably several days after. In between other shiny things.
Archery today suffered again from the dreadfuls: halfway through, I just found myself tensing up. Not unusual, alas, though I don't think most of the tension is from archery itself. Not lately. Still, the tension must be coped with, and if the archery itself isn't settling it, I need a better, more social-friendly solution than clamping on earphones, though that can help.
