Water is positively *bad* for electrical fires; my reading suggests that cotnrary to intial thoughts, it's less damaging to most equipment than many other types -- but the risk of electrocution is not insignificant.
That's why I included foam as a possible; though this room doesn't have a computer, there's always things as basic as the lights.
The office overall as I envision it would be like the better parts of the exchange; a partly renovated but old building. I was half-contemplating a hundred year old house like the one I used to work in (Only with the reno that one needed as it's not being used by a company which was in the red much of the time. I got away with really sloppy arrival times and over 60k of writing there, but I really don't miss the late paycheques.) But there are so few scenes set in the office (About 2 1/2) that I never did worry about it beyond deciding arbitrarily that the mail room (Where this fire incident occurs) was near enough to the editor's office for him to smell smoke and hear the shout (Not in that order).
Speaking of fires, I was wondering what you had to say about this icon, considering what you know of the background of the picture. ;)
