Attention Winnipeggers
Dec. 4th, 2005 08:49 pmDoes anyone have a copy of Loreena McKennitt's "A Winter Garden" that I can borrow?
I ask because I am contemplating making another "improved" Christmas mix to replace the one I made years ago then passed on to Mom. (I considered this last year, and never got around to it) but I'm considering doing so by burning a CD, and the song from A Winter Garden that I want I only have on cassette.
That's all. Not much writing done -- I finished a review, but made little progress on the novel. And nothing's happened to me lately but our staff Christmas party, which was fun in spite of a forced last-minute shoe-purchase. I wore my royal blue salwar kameez, which got several compliments. The best line on that subject was definitely Savitrah's, though: after a sincere but fairly standard compliment, she added, "My mother would be so proud..." (The second best was fifteen-year-old Leigh, who asked me where I got it. When I said "India", she said, "Where's that, then?" It took us another couple of go-rounds to realise she thought I meant a store by that name.)
