The good:

The temp agency gave me three weeks and a bit of solid fulltime work. I will have money!

Because the bus trip is fairly long, I am getting a small but actual word count most days. (And Sunday, I was doing okay while at the laundromat). Once again with Loving the Dana.

A friend has offered us a washer and dryer, so once we make arrangements to move them in (And we've put out some feelers), we will be able to do laundry at home instead of spending too much money per load.

We finally saw Abacchus again! (He moved out last Wednesday, and kind of vanished, and I kept failing to call him when I intended to. He called us, instead, partly to pick up stuff, and partly to hang out.)

We saw several good friends this weekend, as it happens.

Our next door neighbour's birthday party was Saturday, and we ended up stopping in for an hour and a half in spite of having made other plans (involving sushi and Iron Man 2) with other friends. They're pretty nice people, and overall, for being in a place where I hardly knew anyone, I actually met and mingled enough to remember a couple of names.

the Bad:

The commute is long enough I'm up at 5:45 AM and not home again until 6:00 PM. Since many of the activities I do pretty much guarantee I'm up until 10:00, this can mean short sleep. Or missing things.

The fact I'm working these hours means I can't do much jobhunting.

I'm only getting in the bus-related word counts most days.

My multitude of activities and such means I've been seeing rather less of Colin than I like.

It's also keeping the exercise down to a lot of walking, and occasional desperate stints of housework to keep the house from eating us. Bleah.

Virtually no internet time lately. (Not helped by having it go down for a couple of days last week).

And; worst. Last Tuesday, I lost my wedding ring (I still have the engagement ring). There's a likelihood it was lost either at work (But they know to look for it, and nothing yet) or at a bus stop, with an even slimmer chance of on the bus itself. And being busy at work during all the daytime hours, I haven't had a chance to call Transit's lost and found service.
