I'm guessing I should sneak the phoenix icon back in, all things considered.

Progress notes for May 4, 2007:

Bird of Dusk

SESSION 1
Total words new or revised : just under 700, not counting the segments written then deleted again, which probably make another 500.
Probable percentage actually new: Almost 100%
Reason for stopping: Needed supper.
Tea: Tim Hortons "steeped"
Music: The "rock" file on my MP3 player, including David Bowie, Madrigaia, Pink Floyd.
Mean Things: dancing in public, awkward questions
There's Always one more Quirk in the character: Anna's figured out a hell of a lot more about Finno in two meetings than I thought she did last draft.
To-read pile: Patricia McKillip - Od Magic, John M Ford - The Dragon Waiting, Peg Kerr - Emerald House Rising.

Session 2
Total words new or revised : Another almost 700
Probable percentage actually new: 80%
Reason for stopping: Nearing 2 Am.
Tea: juice, then milk with a bit of irish cream flavouring.
Music: Maddy Prior and Rick Kemp - Happy families
Mean Things: Almost triggering a panic reaction.
There's Always one more Quirk in the character: Finno's triggers are weird.
Darling du jour: If it had been Jen whose hand was just a thin band of metal away from his scars, he wouldn't have trembled.
To-read pile: As above.

Progress notes for May 5, 2007:

Bird of Dusk

Total words new or revised : 2430. Which is shorter than the scene started out being.
Probable percentage actually new: 70%.
Reason for stopping: End of scene, how to revise the next scene wasn't obvious.
Tea: decaf orange pekoe
Music: Richard Thompson - various and multitudinous different CDs.
Mean Things: Not really.
Darling du jour: Finno felt the sting in his hands at last, turned them over to see the crescents his nails had left in his palms.
To-read pile: As above.
