I'm almost willing to bet there was no person on the other end at all at the point where it called you "Tammy" and all that crap. There are voicemail systems and such that you can actually talk to rather than pushing buttons (AT&T has one, for example); some of them have gotten quite good, though this doesn't sound like it was one of them.
