Yesterday:

Not sure about word count -- probably well under two hundred, but I finally edited, finished, and polished up a book review for Green Man that's been 3/4 done for a while. Today, I glanced over it once last time then actually e-mailed it off to them.

Progress notes for August 30, 2006:

Raising the Storm

New Words: 1255 words.
Reason for stopping: End of Scene. I have only the epilogue to finish, which resolves the plotline for the other major character.
Tea: Orange Pekoe earlier, but I stopped about the time it usually gets unwise to drink more caffeine.
Music: Sarah Slean, Day One, the first half of a mixed tape focused on James Keelaghan, Shawn Colvin and Jann Arden.
Tyop du jour: coarse fir (on someone's cheek?)
Darling du Jour: "She'd never want you to keep, but you've made her curious."
Mean Things: surprise trials.
There's always one more quirk in the character: Gaitann did learn something from Korollo after all. And here I'd have sworn he wasn't really listening.

Inevitable Asides: I stayed home from work today. I suspect most of what's going on was simply too little sleep hitting me again, but the headache was real, and the slightly dubious feeling in the stomach that partly kept me form sleep in the first place. All in all, really, it shouldn't have been enough to keep me home, but I decided not getting worse is the better part of valour sometimes.

Still, it wasn't all useless: I got all my arrows fletched through the afternoon, since that takes no real labour (And Colin was kind enough to put the points on so they are DONE!) and also got to watch the Sea Hawk and the Lion in Winter again.

Also had a surreal phone conversation from some fake company in the morning, that almost seemed like it should have been one of my dreams. But more on that later. Sleep now!
