I came to visit your journal because of Making Light's blog, where we've both posted, me as 'Serge'. I think we even each responded to some things that the other wrote on that blog. Anyway, that's how I showed up here.

About weddings... When my wife and I got married, 20 years ago, we were living in Toronto, 500 miles west of my parents in Quebec City, a few thousand miles from my wife's family in California. As a result, it was a quiet affair with a few friends that culminated in our all watching Forbidden Planet on our VCR.
